Kinderdijk Windmills - Page 2
Sunday, March 04, 2001; posted by Paris
The postion of the sails can indicate a certain situation or event. There is a working postion used when the mill is stationary for a short time, the resting position when no milling is to take place for some time. The celebration position indicates that a pleasant event has occurred such as a birth. Finally, there is a postion for sorrow, which designates death.
