Easter at the Keukenhof Sunday, April 22, 2001; posted by Lisa Easter Sunday we were back in The Hague. After a nice but crowded service at a chapel at St. Aloysius College, we headed off to the Keukenhof. Although the weather was less than ideal--cool and rainy--the flowers were in bloom and the gardens were gorgeous. An Asian flair in the Keukenhof gardens. More beauty.... A path winds riverlike through the gardens, bursts of color carefully sculpted throughout. Glimmering ponds in a sea of green. More... Fields where the flowers are grown. At this time of year, Holland's fields are full of giant blocks of color. Train rides are particularly good for viewing the spectacle. Sue stands beside a marker denoting her friend's flower/bulb business. The marker stands among flowers provided by this business.
