  | Visit to London Wednesday, June 07, 2000; posted by Paris

Lisa and I had the opportunity to spend 4 days in London, England. We saw all of the sites and many are included in the following pages. The weather was mild (low 60's to low-70's) and generally sunny. No rain!

  | Lisa and Gerben (one of my CL co-workers) at a late-night bar (may have been called the "O" bar) in Soho. Most bars close at 11, but these have special licenses to stay open later.

  | A look at the grey London skyline and the Thames. You can see the Eye of London and Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in the distance.

  | Painted on just about every street corner to help keep the tourist industry alive. And, trust me, it does.

  | This is a street (Gloucester Mews) which is made up of houses that were formerly stables and carriage houses - hence the name mews.

  | A protest over the U571 film. The history was re-defined by Hollywood, ignoring the real accomplishment of the British.
