St. Nikolaikirche - Hamburg, Germany

This was a very interesting site. The steeple and rear wall are the only things remaining of this massive cathedral in Hamburg, Germany. It was destroyed in WWII by Allied bombs. You can see the poster that shows what it looked like (and the surrounding ruins) in 1945.
The steeple rises forever. A very impressive and sad sight.
