Hannover University

These images display some of the sights (and possibly sounds) a student may see in Hannover.

Fraternities are extremely popular and provide a sense of community that is not seen in the US.

This is the castle-like Corps Saxonia fraternity house.

The attic of this old building. Huge timbers support the massive weight of the tiled roof.

Here is the billiard room. What a great decorating idea - adhering sheets of music across the ceiling. You may see this in my house in the future...

The Corps Saxonia flag.

Die Kneipe room - beautiful woodwork and fireplaces give this room old-world character.

Another view of the Die Kneipe room.

In case you accidentally drink 2 litres of beer in under 30 seconds, there is this handy device to help you effectively cope with your body's certain response to the mishap.

Easy to use too, grab the bars, look down and hold on.

The cozy bar in the basement of the house.

Welfen Castle, the main hub of the Hannover University.
